Snapshots of the early morning nature walk
The trees stand tall, wide and choked with green leaves. I spend a long time surveying its immense proportions consisting of dozens of branches. And thousands more shrubs untamed, wild. The trees are elaborate, casting a shadow along the entire path, with the sun barely peeking in. Leaves tremble with a sudden breeze. So do the shadows of those leaves, making my heart light and calm.
So do the shadows of those leaves making my heart light and calm.
It is not just one tree. There are thousands. A multitude of trees with loving embracing canopies. The avenue is close to my heart as I start my day by walking through these woods after my morning run to calm me and prepare me for the day to come. It makes me feel far from my life, as if I were lost in a jungle, where I can hear nothing else but the footsteps I take & wind blowing. So detached. Full of birds twittering & insects humming. No muffled roar of cars or speeding vehicles. Utmost, living in the present.
Utmost, living in the present.
Indeed, the path is like a road not taken, coursing through a getaway of cosy beauty. And the sidewalk is unimaginably dense with little friends seeing a stranger in their abode, an unfriendly path for humans.
